Talked with Mike yesterday. Good ideas and lots of moving forward. Mike
has suggested that we each raise 1500 dollars for our first season.
This was his recommended approach and I think it is a good one: Each of
us submits a thorough bio that makes each of us sound like hot shit. If
you have a headshot, send that too. If not- its ok because we may not
use headshots anyway (in this fundraising packet). Since Morgan and I
are already settled, we will begin putting this fundraising packet
together here in seattle. The packet will state our mission and provide
a profile on each of the founding members of the group. There will
probably be a logo to make it look lovely and official. These packets
will be distributed either electonically or snail mail (which ever you
prefer) to you. At that point you will submit the packet to as many of
your friends and relatives as you think will be receptive. You are then
the spokesperson for our company and charged with the task of selling
us to donors. They will not be able to right off their initial
contribution because we prob. won't yet have our 501c3 but they will
give anyway because they love you.
