Dear Seabirders,

We ran Maizuru (Kyoto Prefecture, Japan) pelagic trips with our own charter fishing boat on 15th and 16th July 2019.
The target of this pelagic is Swinhoe's Storm-petrel, Kutsu-jima near Maizuru is Swinhoe's Storm-petrel largest breeding site in Japan.
The results are as follows.

*15 July 2019 (4:45-13:00)
1. Swinhoe's Storm Petrel - (50+).
2. Streaked Shearwater - (200+)
3. Black-tailed Gull

*16 July 2019 (5:00-13:00)
1. Swinhoe's Storm Petrel - (30+).
2. Streaked Shearwater - (100+)
3. Red-necked Phalarope - (2)
4. Black-tailed Gull

Cetaceans
1. Bottlenoses Dolphin - (15+)

*Swinhoe's Storm Petrel were attracted by fish-oil and chum, but they are very cautious and not seen at close range...
