Prepping for next season

Hello all, 

      When do teams start preparing for next season? Do you do anything in summer? I hear some CA schools start from June itself, once vacation starts. Wondering how do they manage with incoming class of 6th graders or 9th graders.

We do Summer Study Sessions, 2 days a week, about 3hrs each session at the high school. We advertise to all the local schools and kids are welcome to come to the sessions. But we don't hold tryouts until school starts.
