Hi Everyone!  I am reaching out hoping that there might be a team that is willing or can trade mission possible  at 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm for one of the other spaces available.  My two Olympians do not have any other spaces available.  I know this is asking alot but was hoping you might consider it as they are super bummed that both of them are unable to make it to the time block that I signed them up for 9:00 am (because 2:00 pm was full) but only one of them is able to make it to this time.

Thank you for considering!
:)Debbie

You will need to be specific about what tournament you are asking for and a better option would be to contact the tournament director for your specific tournament for help contacting the coaches that are at your tournament as most of them will not likely see this.  I hope you get it worked out.

That's a frustrating issue!   What tournament/state is this?   Maybe someone here is available to swap, but you'll likely get a good resolution by contacting the tournament director directly.  Here are some possible solutions that you can suggest to the tournament director if he or she doesn't suggest them to you:
1)  Ideally, the tournament director can ask the teams signed up for the 2 PM hour if they can swap.  The swap might be a direct 9 AM to 2 PM swap but it might be a three- or four-way swap.
2)  Ask the ES if you can squeeze in at 2 PM, running as soon as the other teams finish, even if it means running past 3 PM.
3)  Ask the ES if you can run at 8:30.  If this is a Regional tournament, then there's no impound.  But, if it's a state level tournament, an early run will have to be hidden from those impounding (different room, divider between impound and run area).
4)   Much less than ideal, if either student is available at 9 AM but the other one isn't, perhaps that available student can run then with another team member with the understanding that the busy partner will receive any medal earned since he or she has worked hard on the event.  This is tough because the sub would have to know when to touch, what to look for, and how to answer ES questions.

Best to you

My apologies as I tried to answer a minute ago and I think it glitched.  Sorry if this duplicate.  Please let us know what tournament/state.   I recommend working with the tournament director who can help you coordinate with the event supervisor (ES).

The tournament director can reach out to the two or three teams signed up for 2:00 and see if either can swap for 9 AM.  That would be great but I wouldn't count on it.  And, there is a chance that the tournament director limited the number of slots per hour to spread out the teams and there IS a chance you can squeeze in at 2 PM or just after all the 2 PM teams have competed.  Maybe your team can compete at 8:30 AM if the ES is available that early.   The tournament director, who is likely totally swamped right now, could look at the students' schedules and see if he can find a swap (might be a three- or four-way swap...) that would work - but that would be a huge request.  Is one of the MP students available at 9?  If so, you can assign a student that is free that hour to learn how to run the device (where to stand, what to touch and when, answers to ES questions) and stand in for the missing student with the understanding that if they earn a medal the busy student (not the sub) receives the medal.  If both students are unavailable at 9, ask the tournament director if there is an open time slot in which one of the original students can compete with a teammate.  So sorry you're dealing with this.
