Aaron and I have made it a habit of getting out to Timber Creek Golf Club early on Sunday mornings to claim our place as the first group on the course. This gets us home mid-morning to spend more time with our families.
This week we hit our drives off #1 into the morning fog and were off. Two hours and forty-five minutes later I had completed the round of my life.
I won't bore you with the details, but it ended up with a 36 - 36 for a one-over par 72. This represents my best round ever by four strokes, and that 76 was a few years ago.
OK, here are a few of the boring details:
- 1 double bogey ( I airmailed an 8 iron over the green on #12)
- 3 bogeys
- 10 pars
- 4 birdies
There you have it. I'm putting the clubs in the basement for the rest of the year. I don't think I can do better than that!
