Andrew competed in his first triathlon on Sunday, finishing in a very respectable 1:34. The course consisted of a 400-yard swim, a 15-mile bike and a 4-mile run. Water temperatures were reported to be between 63 - 68 degrees. We both chose to not wear wetsuits. In hindsight, that might not have been a great choice.

Andrew rode a very clunky mountain bike that is dramatically too small for him. In spite of this he only finished 4 minutes behind me. If he had a tri-specific bike like I rode he would have beaten me by over 10 minutes.

I should have some pictures in the next couple days that I'll post on this site.
