If we want to attain outcome-based education on our courses taught and might as well maging learner-centered ang approach natin, we may need to re-consider some things:

1. TRENDING sa board exam or accreditation. subjects being taught are still lingering in the OLD CURRICULUM. For me, siguro a separate course on this, enhancing how would students think over on a question.

2. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT. since i reviewed some subjects, i found out na iyung iba, sinundan lamang kung paano ang layout sa TABLE OF CONTENTS ng aklat. You'll see. For example the subject GROSS ANATOMY. What Dr. Snell did is kung saan madaling i-dissect para sa kanya. What Dr. Magee did is kung saan magmumula ang evaluation and APPLIED ANATOMY pa ang kanyang approach. We all want our students na marunong sa APPLIED ANATOMY. Paggawa ng course ng isang subject by a faculty would be influenced also by the TRENDS sa board exam or accreditation, as mentioned above. Since it has been the practice na "umayon" sa trend, "get used" na ung iba na ganun na lang ang gawin para sa kung anu-anong katwiran....Oh please, sa mga ganyang faculty "Have mercy on our students!" If you think like a criminal, tendency ng students is to rely on the book, instead that the faculty promotes HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS (HOTS) like critical thinking, problem solving, etc....to the students. By practice na ang faculty inadopt ang OBE through paraphrasing what is derived from the book at ang i-share is kung paano niya naunawaan, students would engage themselves to HOTS. What can the faculty do, is just like what Dr. Magee did, APPLIED sa PRACTICE. It would also follow the same sa ibang subjects.

Its a matter of SEQUENCING the INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES from MEDICAL FOUNDATIONAL SUBJECTS and its implications to PT PRACTICE para sa pang-third year na subjects and PT INTEGRATED SUBJECTS and how it will be applied sa MEDICAL CASE SCENARIOS para sa pang-fourth year na subjects is what I'm trying to say noong 10/22/13. Marahil, ganun din sa OT at RT. You may ask someone na nagtapos ng Ed na course, not consult.

3. SCHOOL SYSTEM. I think this is a minority when it comes to resource allocation since malakas na instigators naman tayo for learner-centered approach. compliments dun sa malalakas talaga.... :) May also peruse kung aligned talaga sa VMG at hindi nakasulat lang sa course syllabus. Pwede siyang i-trace through action words sa learning objectives.

4. LEARNER-CENTERED APPROACH. Why don't we get the opinion of the previous and new batches kung ano ang gusto nilang matutunan pa? O kaya sentiments sa faculty?

PROMISING ANG ATING COLLEGE PAGDATING SA OBE....

Paki-explain nung mga may bias magcomment sa akin nung 10/22/13 regarding sa subjects na nai-present ko. Labyu :D
