Despite promotional support from TypeSafe, there just wasn't enough interest to continue the event.
There has, however, been significant interest in the idea of a "Crested Butte Developer's Retreat," which might provide a reasonable substitute. It's described here:

I'm quite intrigued by the possibilities of the developer's retreat, and look forward to seeing what happens.
