KASHMIR = PALESTINE Equation is Odious.Ashkenazi Jews, not the people of the Testament, was a foreign transplant in Palestine by Anglo-Zionist empire. Kashmir has been culturally, economically and politically linked with other regions of the Indian sub-continent since the millennia. No doubt, Kashmir has been long suffering victim of ultra-nationalist sentiments in both India and Pakistan, and brutalised since 1990s vociferous discontent & Pakistan sponsored terrorism; but it's state of affair, however sad, can in no way be equated with Palestine. While it is undeniable that atrocities have been committed in Kashmir as in the North East of India, highly erroneous twist has been given by over the top generalizations. Here are three examples
1. >> Kashmiris are treated as second-class citizens in their own land<<
Not true at all in Non-Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Elected governments, last two elections saw highly enthusiastic voter turnout, have mostly ruled the state. Moreover, state government have been headed by Kashmiri Muslim Chief Ministers in J & K State right since independence.
2. >> {India} is a top recipient of economic aid from the United States<<
Another laughable statement. India received, according to the quoted source, "economic SPENT aid" of US$ 88.19mn against Pakistan's 787.80mn. Figures speak for themselves.
3. >>struggle for liberation of … .. Kashmiri people began in the late 1940s during the waning days of British colonialism<<
Another bit of Poor Journalism. Not only Hari Singh, the Dogra ruler of Kashmir signed the instrument of accession to join the union {but only in the face of Pakistan sponsored armed tribesmen and their Army's forcible and violent aggression into the princely-state}; but the Kashmir valley was saved from this Pakistani depredation and occupation in the initial stages because of spirited defence put by popular people’s leader Shaikh Abdullah. He too endorsed joining up with Indian Union. Moreover, much disliked Armed Forces (J & K) Special Powers Act was passed only in September 1990 and applied retrospectively from 5 July 1990. Incidentally, a Kashmiri, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the father of current Chief Minister and who also preceded her as CM, was the then Home Minister of India. It was under his guard as India's HM that his other daughter, Rubaiya Sayeed, was abducted by JKLF.
