Dear friends, fans, & fellow readers,
She's here! And she's beautiful. My new book,
A Light So Lovely: The Spiritual Legacy of Madeleine L'Engle, Author of A Wrinkle in Time, released this past Tuesday from Zondervan. You can learn all the details, including sample chapters, audio book clip, links to purchase, book trailer, & other buzz at
www.alightsolovely.com. Enjoy!
A couple of other fun book highlights:
- As a companion to the book, we've also launched a brand-new, one-season podcast celebrating Madeleine's spiritual legacy & 100th birthyear over at https://madeleinelengle.podbean.com/. Episode 1 features legendary author Philip Yancey on his favorite Madeleine memory as well as a bonus clip from the audio book of A Light So Lovely. More episodes are forthcoming featuring Luci Shaw, Sarah Bessey, Madeleine's granddaughter Charlotte Jones Voiklis (who also graciously wrote the foreword to my book) and more!
- An excerpt from my book was one of the daily devotions on BibleGateway.com this week: "A Light in the Darkness."
- I've also been interviewed for a number of podcasts lately, including:
- This Good Word with Steve Wiens
- The Believe to See podcast with the good folks at the Anselm Society
- The Coffeepot Fellowship with United Faith Leaders.
- Lots of great reviews out there, too, including Amazon & Goodreads.
Finally, after further genomic testing indicated that I was at high risk of recurrence for breast cancer (I was diagnosed with Stage 1 in May), I will begin chemotherapy tomorrow. It will be 4 treatments, total, over the next 2 months. We continue to be grateful for God's mercies even as we ask for your prayers.
Gratefully,
Sarah Arthur
