Hi friends,
Greetings to you this holiday season! The Arthurs are a bit baffled by the Carolina-like weather here in southern Michigan, although it's nice to not yet be shoveling snow. We are dreaming of a white Christmas, in part because our 2-year-old is fascinated by snow, hail, fog, and frost. Weather in general, and instruments of music--including jingle bells--and Christmas lights...what a marvelous world this is to a toddler!
Tom and I have booked our tickets for the long-awaited Hobbit movie this Friday--it can't come soon enough! Along the way I have some fun book events going on in connection with my youth devotional
Walking with Bilbo, including FREE Kindle editions on Amazon all week. You'll want to check out the highlights on my blog:
http://www.saraharthur.info/?p=620. I also invite you to "like" Walking with Bilbo on
Facebook and help spread the word.
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas season!
Sarah Arthur
"It is not difficult to imagine the peculiar excitement and joy that one would feel, if any specially beautiful fairy-story were found to be "primarily" true, its narrative to be history, without thereby necessarily losing the mythical or allegorical significance that it had possessed."
