Dear friends, fans, and fellow readers,
During this COVID year-and-a-half, what's been your source of joy?
We all know the awful headlines--indeed, some of us are living those headlines right now. But joy. It's there. I'm talking about the small things, the good books, that new flavor you discovered, the friendships you've built, the grace you received.
For me it's my kids. And Date Night with my husband. And a hundred excellent books. And gracious colleagues who otherwise should've written me off for my bluster or ignorance but instead extended God's love in more ways than I can count. The list goes on.
In fact, my Joy List includes a number of exciting announcements coming soon! Which is why in the coming weeks I'll be migrating this mailing list away from Google Groups and into Mailchimp, where it will be easier for me to post info that matters to you and for you to manage your subscriptions.
In the meantime,
here's one fun virtual event coming up for which I hope some of you can join me (see below)! Particularly if you're fans of my literary to guides to prayer with Paraclete Press--especially
At the Still Point: A Literary Guide to Prayer in Ordinary Time.
More soon! May the joy of the Lord be your strength (Neh. 8:10b).
