Good day all Winos,

Wine night will be on again this Thursday at the Blacker's home in
Solvang.

Theme: Italian Varietals - (White or Red)
Time: 7:30'ish
Venue: Blackers home in Solvang - as soon as I have the address I will
send it out

Red (by no means is this meant to be a complete list)

* Sangiovese (Tuscany) - If it is a local wine it will say Sangiovese;
if it is from Italy it will say Chianti, Chianti Classico, Rosso di
Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino etc.. (Curran, DiBruno,Mandolina
are a few makers here in the valley)
* Nebbiolo (Piedmont) - If it is a local wine it will say Nebbiolo;
if it is from italy it will say Barolo and Barbaresco (Mandolina,
DiBruno, Stolpman)
* Barbera - Burford and Brown's (Amador County) - I have seen it @ $16
* Amarone - I have seen it at Trader Joe's and Cost Plus World Market
* Dolcetto - Trader Joe's & Cost Plus World Market (Bargetto 2006
Dolcetto, Santa Barbara County-@$18)

White (Trade Joe's and Cost Plus World Market has the best selection)
* Pinot Grigio (locally look for Alma Rosa, Sanford,Bargetto 2005)
* Trebbiano
* Moscato

Also do not forget that our local Valley grocers - Nielson's Market
and El Rancho have very good selections as well.

Please bring some snacks.

I have given directions because there are a few roads which begin in
Deer around here i.e. Deer Trail etc.
