Hello SYV Bike Community,

Please take two minutes to sign the petition below to help move forward the Multi-use path along Modoc Road in Santa Barbara connecting the Oberon Class III bike path to the new Class III bike path along Las Positas road. This is not in the SYV, but it’s a vital link to the Coastal bike route between Goleta and Santa Barbara. Please take two minutes to read about this new path and sign your name to help this project move forward.

I encourage you all to go ride the new Las Positas bike path to Hendry’s Beach too. This is a wonderful example what is possible and what could be developed in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Support the Modoc Path!

Show your support of the grant-funded Modoc Multi-Use Path project in Santa Barbara to close the gap in our Coastal Trail route and provide safe access (separated from fast-moving traffic) for the whole community along a corridor where sidewalks don’t exist. With the County's continued design efforts to minimize tree removal, let's complete the Modoc Path: a shared public path we can all enjoy!

Take Action:

  1. Sign the petition now to add your support, then share it!
  2. E-Mail the La Cumbre Mutual Water Company (Modoc Preserve owner) letting them know you support the Path as a shared use trail that's consistent with the conservation easement.

Thanks for your help building support for this community benefit project!
