FOSP reported that they had compiled member comments and Board
recommendations for the “Can We Talk” community budget meeting in
their neighborhood. The topic of 20-year TORCA loans has arisen as
they are about to come due, with balloon payments. One of the Council

regarding neighborhood conservation.
OPA reported that they held a holiday party and that their groups is
concerned about overdevelopment and about Santa Monica Airport.

a master plan for the Bergamot and Mixed Use Creative area, whether
“no net new PM peak hour trips” is a possibility with so many large
developments being planned, housing development agreement monitoring,
implementation of the LUCE on the December Council agenda, Santa
Monica Airport (hiring Kirk Shaffer’s firm to lobby the FAA, and the
public process regarding the future of SMO on an upcoming Council
agenda), the FAA having “lost” 119,000 plane registrations, the Santa
Monica Patch, the Montana Walk (more trash containers needed for that
event), trash pick-up of items dumped in the alley upon request,
online request for pick-up of large items, free shredding events, the
proposed new AMC movie theatre and parking, and adequate parking for
the Pier vs. the future of the old RAND parking lot.
