I haven't said it better.
In school PE should include experiences at Active Transportation.
Let's make it happen!

Getting bicycling education to become a standard part of all elementary, middle, and high schools in California.

Largely solves climate change from transportation
Saves thousands of lives from crashes
Greatly reduces traffic congestion around these schools
Makes all of our streets safer and more inviting
Helps prevent many physical and mental health issues
Great way to get exercise while getting to school
Natural fit for physical education classes where you get exercise AND learn a great life long skill
Saves money
Excellent base of learning BEFORE people get their drivers licenses
Reduces waste
Many other benefits as well

All it takes is a change to the California Physical Education curriculum/requirements -- a natural fit and cost effective but hard due to knee jerk car privilege/assumptions.

Volunteer/grant funded Safe Routes to School efforts are not nearly enough. Bicycling must be built into our standard process rather than being an optional nice-to-have if we want to really save our world for our kids.

As a thought exercise,

Is there a policy in your community that is or has been under consideration that would make a huge difference but is a little too ambitious to expect victory without a better-resourced campaign?

If you had $100k to dedicate to organizing and lobbying for this policy, what would it be? What if you had $1 million?
