Since Sam is performing here and many of you are Section Quartet fans, I thought I'd pass this on. I know that a lot of you are not in the L.A. area, but please see paragraph 2 and consider buying tickets as a donation. Thanks everyone...
This coming Sunday, December 20th, The Section Quartet and lots of their friends are getting together to raise money to replace musical instruments that were lost in the tsunami in Japan... And you can help. Join Sam Phillips, Lisa Germano, Van Dyke Parks, Vivian Campbell (of Def Leppard), Wendy and Lisa, John Easdale (of Dramarama), Jenny O, Linda Perry, Matt Sharp (of The Rentals), Ken Andrews and Kellii Scott (of Failure), Mike Watt, Murry Hammond (old 97s) and Grey Delisle. If you can’t make it, but want to help, please consider calling Largo at 310 855 0350, ordering tickets and then asking that the tickets go to “guests of the artists”. That way they won’t reserve seats for you but all of the money will go to the cause. This is a non-American charity so there is no tax deduction, but a great opportunity to help those in need.
