Sorry for the last minute booking of the band in Edinburgh! It was the agent organising the tour who left it so late. I have been promoting the gig in Scotland totally in good faith for over 4 months and only found out from a local dance teacher up there last Saturday, not from the agent, that a Scottish gig has now been booked in Edinburgh! All I can say is sorry, and if you have booked with us already, we can guarantee you a brilliant night for sure. We have sold over 200 advance tickets and are expecting over 400-500 salsa dancers to the event. 1-2pm    Beginners Afro-Cuban. Physical and great fun! This class will teach the basic steps and a short routine for Gaga, one of the main Afro-Cuban dances performed in the Oriente region of Cuba.  A great workout to kick start your Sunday and easy to pick up!

2-3pm    Beginners/elementary Cuban salsa, suitable for complete beginners or almost beginners with an emphasis on the basic steps and salsa rhythm

This week there are TWO LIVE world class Salsa bands in Scotland with dancer-friendly venues too. Candido Fabre and La-33 are here on tour. Quickest way to make up your mind to buy your tickets - Click on the La-33 links below and you'll be hooked!!

Apart from our selfish enjoyment of that very special experience of live music, and dancing to it, we want to make sure there are audiences that will encourage (organisers to bring more) live bands to Scotland. With even fewer Salsa nights over the summer, this is genuinely going to be the best gig of the summer.  Thanks to DJ Mauricio's initiative, we've got the amazing La-33's only Scottish appearance at (ex-Fiesta Latina's) big dance floor venue, Teviot. Famous for "La Pantera Mambo" "Que Rico Boogaloo" La-33 are the Columbian band's first UK tour.    Mauricio and Orlando will be DJing; Eliecer Teaching. "La 33 - Colombia's hottest salsa band. Expect the soulful, rough-edged style of classic salsa, but expect also to hear almost 100% new, self-composed material performed by a brilliant three-line vocal section against a rich two-trombone/trumpet/sax brass section. Tickets £12.50 adv.
