This sunday, you are invited to enjoy a day of music in the garden at
oregon school for the deaf. This will be a good site to share our
vision through dance, and to share the vision of a garden in every
school and beyond. I invite you all to participate in this open air,
day long gathering to catalyze a seedling movement, where with our
intention we grow a sustainable renaissance of food localism.

Aug 23rd 2009 -- 9:00 AM beginning with a 15 minute yoga stretch with
Melissa Austin...


A Garden of Imagination

In light of International Kitchen Garden Day and National Community
Garden Week...


Marion Polk Food Share is celebrating the summer of garden bounty with
a program of gardening, art, community and a down right funky
celebration.

Time line is as follows:

9 am-noon: The art of organic community food production (MPFS garden
work/learn-party)

Morning music provided by dj Layla and Jeffe from Eugene.

noon-1pm: Ribbon cutting and “taste of the garden” ceremony. A harvest
of and preperation of a garden derived meal will be provided.

1pm-4pm: Building of the OSD cob garden bench (community natural
building workshop)

Afternoon music with dj Timmy and friends.


4pm-6pm: STIR community garden bike tour
Come to the garden with your bike and leave with us as we head out to
visit 4 nearby community gardens.


Music, Food and Community Building activities will be going on all
day.
