Dear Cathedral Family,

Below you can find the funeral details for Jim Dimoff. Matushka Lynda Anderson provided the following information about this dear friend of St. Seraphim Cathedral:

An old friend of the cathedral's, Jim Dimoff, died and several older parishioners are interested in getting his funeral information. I sent you the annoucement from Holy Trinity GOC, where he was a member.
Jim was a parishioner of Holy Trinity but always came to help each year with every single baking day for the annual St. Seraphim Bake Sale. When we first arrived in Texas, SSOC had a ladies group called St. Anne's which sponsored several fundraisers throughout the year, including a November (or December?) Bake Sale. Jim helped make all the dough along with SSOC parishioner Peter Chichilla. Several of the SSOC ladies involved in St. Anne's had Capatho-Russian ethnicity so the Bake Sale offerings included awesomely delicious kolache and rolled breads they called potica! My kids have deep memories of those products and claim their equals do not exist!!! May his memory be Eternal!

Falling Asleep of

Jim Dimoff

The entire Holy Trinity family would like to express their heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the family of
Jim Dimoff who fell asleep in the Lord.

O God of spirits, and of all flesh, who has trampled down death, crushed the power of the devil, and granted life to your world, do thou yourself, O Lord, give rest to the soul of your servant Demetrios who has fallen asleep, in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, where there is no grief, sorrow or mourning.

Forgive every sin which he has committed in word or deed or thought, for Thou art a good God who loves mankind. For there is no one who lives and does not sin; only Thou art without sin; Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Thy word is truth.
