This is a final reminder that this Sunday, March 22nd, Church School students ALL GRADES will be making hygiene kits for homeless youth and teens. Parents, please remember to drop off any donations of standalone hygiene items so our students can build these kits for those in need.
What kind of NEW donations are needed: Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, toothbrush holder, dental floss, washcloth, comb, brush, baby wipes, baby hygiene items, face wash, etc. Items can be travel-size or regular (as long as they can fit in a gallon Ziplock bag).
Where to drop them off: Each Church School classroom has a bin where donations can be dropped off until Sunday, April 22nd.
Who receives them: Hope Supply Co. who serves homeless youth and teenagers. These children and their families typically had to leave their homes without a lot of notice or with basic items. The kits our children build provide these children with something decent of their own. When the kits are dropped off, we communicate that they were made with love for their children by children at St. Seraphim.
Last year we were able to build and donate over 100 hygiene kits, but we are currently short of the needed items. Thank you so much for your generosity towards this important Lenten service project and lesson to “Love Thy Neighbor”.
In Christ,
The Church School Teachers
