Still getting a handle on my new e-mail and this groups forum...   Thanks all for the info on those triangular deck rigging bits.

Am I up for the group newbie title this year, for lack of other contenders?

I am in Montreal and plan to keep boat on a pristine clear water lake north of here.  I do plan to trailer it around a little, hopefully to the Thousand Islands area, before long.

The boat is in great shape with only one area of wear as can be seen on the rear deck starboard side.   I went out and got a large piece of non-slip mat to stick over it, that now covers the area nicely.

Thanks for all the docs and suggestions sent already!  Boy that was quick.    Much appreciated....

Mark

Thanks!

Glad to connect with other owners.

I will surely have a few more questions, like;
Can we tell the year built from the serial number?  Mine is: ZMIP0468D688  - is it a 1988 by any chance?

I will be looking for a spinnaker if anyone knows of one available used....

Thanks

Mark

PS:  pics of the boat and triangular bit that I need to replace....

 ZMIP0468D688

ZMIP usually defines the boat manufacturer and model

0468 is the actual serial number

D688 refers to when (and possibly where) it was actually built by the manufacturer. It may mean June 1988 if you go by what most "standardly" do.

The required format was all defined and is required on all boats made after 1973. Older boats had any random number the manufacturor wanted to use.
