Hello Neighbours,
I did some snooping around today. Popped into the Hastings community police. The coordinator was out but he called me later. He was great, Clair MacGougan. He told me about 'Slow Down Dundas' group and I have contacted them http://www.slowdowndundas.org/ and I'm waiting to hear back. He's also going to do some looking into who is the best person to get in touch with about having a truck count conducted. He said the City is complaint driven so I guess we need to start complaining more for the Dundas/Nanaimo/McGill neighbourhood! I have recently heard that the trucks are even parking on McGill in the middle of the night (sometimes with engines on) in front of peoples homes.

I also found this on the city site and if any of you feel so inclined could you fill it out? Choose complaint or problem and then 'traffic counts' from drop down menu. I chose Dundas Street with Nanaimo as the cross street.

what I wrote - change yours up but keep it similar so we all sound like we have the same complaint.

Container truck traffic in this neighbourhood is at an all time high. These trucks are not taking the city appointed route of Clark/Hastings/Cassiar/McGill but instead using Clark/Powell/Dundas/Nanaimo/
McGill. Hundreds of them a day. The community wants a City count on container trucks turning North at this corner as they did one on the corner of Nanaimo and Hasting recently. Thank you, *Dalyn

The more people complaining the better. Thanks all! *dalyn
