Hey all,
I cordially invite all of you to join us at the Orden Bowling Alley on Hengshan Lu on the third floor of the Real Love building, easily accessibly by subway, the Hengshan station.
As the preseason rolls into Week 3, the current leader Luscious proved with last week's performance that even he is not immune from the ire of the bowling gods as he turned in a lackluster performance, and although he still maintains the lead in terms of high game and average, challengers will no doubt make every effort to take advantage of Luscious' brief stutter. BK exhibited calm and poise last week with rolls of 167 and 155 respectively to boost his average to 138, a mere six points shy of Luscious 144, but his inconsistency is well-known. This week he has a chance to smash that reputation with another strong performance to avoid becoming known as a sort of Jekyll-and-Hyde bowler. While Jud has managed to slide the past three games he's played, he has continued to have success throwing strikes, but he must show an ability to string some marks together to add value to those strikes. An interesting wrinkle in this week's matches will be the arrival of Wil Turner, who will be coming on fresh after spending a brief stint in Los Angeles. Although he throws as many strikes as he commits foot faults, he has managed in the past couple months to become an increasingly consistent player at the higher level, and his appearance tonight has the media abuzz that tonight could be one of the most hotly contested bowling contests of the summer.
Side note: BK was spotted throwing a couple games on Friday night, and sources say he was flirting with the mere 100 mark each time. This coupled with his remarkably high scores the previous night, although not enough to prompt an investigation by Bowling's substance abuse watchdogs, has managed to raise a few eyebrows in opponents' camp and fueled the fires of the rumor that BK will fold in even a short four week preseason.
Come down to see how these storylines play out and new ones are formed tonight at 9:30pm.
