Dear Shelter and Settlement colleagues in Asia,
We are pleased to extend you this invitation to the first Asia Shelter MeetUp to be held in Bangkok on the 27th May 2015. The MeetUp is planned as an informal gathering for exchange of ideas and lessons learned as well as offering a networking opportunity for practitioners within the region.
This is an open invite to all who are involved and interested in realm of preparedness, emergency response, and recovery within the humanitarian shelter and settlement sector. This event is open to all including the private sector, government representatives/donors, regional institutes, international and national organizations, academics independents, etc.
This first MeetUp is scheduled for 2:30 – 5:00pm on 27th May at Smith on Sukhumvit 49 (

There will be an opportunity to give a short 5 min presentation to introduce yourself and the work you and your organization does in the region and also highlighting any theme or issues you would like to air with this community of practice. For those who cannot physical join us you are welcome to send us a short video recording which we can show at the session. If you would like to share a longer presentation, please do suggest to us by 15th May so that we can formulate the agenda accordingly.
