Spin the Globe: Live Locally, Groove Globally
Fridays 10-noon (Pacific) on KAOS 89.3 FM Olympia, and streaming live
==============================

Thanks to Brass Menazeri for coming in to the studio last week for a great live set, and some info on their farewell tour. And for a fantastic show Sunday night along with Erev Rav and various jugglers, bellydancers, and circus freaks (and I mean that in the nicest way!).

This week's show focuses on rhythms. And beats.
We haven’t done a drum-focused show for a while, so we’ll pull out some of the drum-heavy tracks from around the world. Djembe? Tabla? Udu? Dhol? Cajon? Timbale? Talking drum? Tar? Darbuka? Water drum? Daf? Probably, yes.

Questions, comments, kudos, and complaints welcome. Leave a Facebook message (link below), or call during the show at 360-867-5267 (that's 360-867-KAOS).

You can follow STG playlists live during the show, or access them later and find out what was playing at a specific time via the (mostly accurate) Spinitron time stamp: http://spinitron.com/radio/playlist.php?station=kaos&showid=5

Upcoming Shows:

February 1: Beats and Rhythms  https://www.facebook.com/events/441849585884468/
February 8: Oh, Mali! (with interview about the situation in Mali)
February 15: Global Love Songs
February 22: Top 10 countdown, February edition
March 1: Global Cover Songs
March 8: UN International Women’s Day!
March 15: Balkanize This!

See you on the airwaves.
Scott
