HongJiang:

Many in IEEE support FIRST Robotics in various roles. It's now FIRST Robotics Competition season and volunteers are needed to help.

FIRST® is the world’s leading youth robotics community, delivering youth robotics competitions that inspire innovation, build confidence, and prepare young people for life.

More Than Robots®
Founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization that prepares young people for the future through a suite of welcoming, team-based robotics programs for ages 5-18 (K-12).  Their thrilling, sports-like challenges build self-confidence and collaborative problem-solving skills and have a proven and lasting impact on STEM learning and interest.

Volunteers are needed for technical and non-technical roles.  Generally meals will be covered during the volunteering time.  Events are being held across the state, so find one near you!  There is especially a need for judges which interact with students to help decide award recipients.

Let's RECOGNIZE all these young people in SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY!!! VOLUNTEER as a
