Introduce yourself

Hi,

I want to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.
Last year, I simplified my life by leaving a hectic schedule of
contract work behind and taking on a full time career as a technical
writer for Equifax. I started attending STC meetings and took over the
role of webmaster.

Living the simple life now allows me to do all those things that I had
only talked about. Now, I have been working with Habitat for
Humanity, I have already participated in three 5K races this year, and
have two more scheduled. I have joined Forum 35 (http://
www.forum35.org/), started quilting, and Scriptfrenzy (http://
www.scriptfrenzy.org/) and Nanowrimo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) no
longer feel like burdens.

The best news about this simple life is that I am able to serve as
your president. I'm sure that by now you have seen my redesign of
your website and read about some of my initiatives.

I'm enthusiastic about learning more about you and receiving feedback
about the direction you would like our STC Satellite to take.

Hi everyone,

I also wanted to introduce myself to the group. I work with Rachel at
Equifax as a technical writer, and I started attending STC meetings
with her.

In addition to hopping on board when Rachel signs up for an activity,
I paint and work on graphic design opportunities in my free time. I
enjoy entering my art in auctions and entering my t-shirts in
contests.

I'm looking forward to serving as your Vice-President. I'll be
planning the details for our socials and creating our newsletters.

I can't wait to meet all of you and hear your ideas.
