AT A GLANCE

January 2026

Dear District 6 Family,

January invites us to step forward with intention. As we shed 2025, the Year of the Snake, we carry its lessons with us while stepping into renewed power, clarity, and purpose. Fresh beginnings aren’t symbolic; they require continued action and a commitment to doing the work that moves District 6 forward.

We begin 2026 grounded in community and focused on progress. Our strength continues to come from neighbors showing up for one another, asking hard questions, and staying engaged in shaping the future of our district.

I invite you to join us for our

Community Conversation on February 5th at Frank’s Chicken & Waffles.

400 Washington St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108

This will be an opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and talk honestly about where District 6 is headed and what matters most moving forward.

New year. Fresh energy. Same commitment.

With gratitude,
Councilor Nichole Rogers
District 6, Albuquerque

DISTRICT 6 HELP FOR COMMON ISSUES

Get Help for Common Issues

  • Homelessness is a public health crisis that is prevalent in District 6. We don’t have enough housing for all who need it, but especially for those who can’t afford it. We need all hands on deck to solve this issue, but the first line of help available at the City is Albuquerque Community Safety. ACS is a cabinet-level public safety department, meaning it operates independently from and in collaboration with APD and AFR. See a list of resources.

  • Neighborhood Traffic Management Program is available if you need help addressing speeding and cut-through traffic on local residential streets.

  • Report a Streetlight Outage - See a problem streetlight in Albuquerque? Please use the link to determine if the issue is with a City or PNM light, and then call 311 or PNM to report the outage.

  • 311 Community Contact Center is available to report issues, request service & ask questions with ABQ311. It helps if you put in your request to 311 first, then forward the email confirmation to dist...@cabq.gov, and we will follow up with the department directly.

  • Encampments -Contact District 6 Field Representative Angelica Archuleta- Romero

  • Contact the Albuquerque Police Department's Southeast Area Command and University Area Command

Need more help? Didn't get a response? Contact us right away, and we'll help.

Send us an online request or call 505-768-3100.
