Dear members of the Religion, Music, and Sound Section,

My name is Andrew Mall, and I am Book Review Co-Editor for the journal Ethnomusicology. We regularly commission new reviews for the journal, and we have a backlog of books for review that might be of interest to you.

We generally commission book reviews by invitation only, and not at the request of the reviewer, author, or publisher. Also note that, according to journal policy, we only commission reviews from writers who have completed their doctorates or are otherwise established in their careers.

If you would like to be considered to write a book review for the journal, please email me directly at a.m...@northeastern.edu, and indicate your areas and/or topics of interest. (Also, please note that you can identify writing book reviews as an area of service to the Society in your member profile on the SEM’s website.) Reviews are typically 1000 words in length and undergo editorial review as well as professional copyediting. We have three deadlines each year for the journal’s three annual issues.

Thank you in advance for your time, and all best,

--
