With that Roberta date change it will allowed 3 of the folks from just the Prattville club to come to Roberta Ga. Ocalas AMA is set on that date and has been each year for the past 6 or 7, and as much as possible, we should have a non conflicting  similar type venues for our best chances for good attendances, JMO.  

 Of course understand everyones individuals plans can’t allow contesting always, but by not having like type events on the same date can open up some possibilities of crossover flying. I imagine we’ll see Andrew Jeskey flying some SPA here in 2018. I’m working in the AMA guys to join us and its getting close to happening. Andrew is now located in Huntsville with the drone Gov. stuff.

Unfortunately, I have another procedure on my lower back scheduled for late April  For those that do not know, I was diagnosed about 8 or 10 years ago with lumbar spinal stenosis -- a fancy was of saying I have bad back pain in my lower back.  The doctor "...hope(s) the procedure will ease the pain...".  That is "ease", not "cure".  I have not flown anything (even an indoor drone) since last October.  There is still a question about how much I will be able to fly this season.  I will have to see, through April and into May, how this flying thing goes.

Anyone know of a good "lumbar yard" where I can get a new lower back??

I supported the date change in order to avoid a conflict with the AMA contest. But I already had made a commitment for the 14-15 weekend, so I will not be able to come. I hate to miss it since that is the closest contest for me - only 165 miles.

I hate this change has meesed up things for you two, and if i’d known i’d never asked for the change:(. But, like i said before, think the best schedule, is one that has the fewest like type airplane contest away from one another, if possible, again, JMO.
In the end its all up to you BOD members, iz just one of the contestants with an opinion, and thoughts, he he he

If you have hip problems, I'd get that fixed first. My wife was having bad back problems and was getting the shots and all that stuff.  The Dr. that was doing the pain shots decided to take an X-ray of her hips (something the Dr. that prescribed the shots should have done).  The pain Dr. sent her to a Dr. at the Univ. of Cincinnati.  He took an X-ray of her hip and she was 3/4 of an inch shorter on the right than she was on the left.  Arthritis had eaten up her hip joint.  He replaced her hip two years ago (and made her the same height on both sides) and she hasn't had any back pain since.  I also worked with an engineer that had a similar experience.  Excruciating back pain - replace a hip joint and all is good.

Thanks for the help offer, Les.  I have had x-rays and MRI's all over my hip-back region.  I have a collection of DVD's with X-rays and MRI's on them.  I know more about my lumbar area than about anything else in my body!  I have had 3 surgeries for lumbar stenosis.  "We" know what the cause is, including a lot of arthritis in my spine.  I am not having hip issues, and the other procedures I have had, including shots and ablation, have worked temporarily.  Knowing the cause is not the same as having a "cure".
