The monthly SOMA SAFETY meeting will be held at SOMA Grand on the 24th of August at 5:30 in the afternoon.
For those of you who have questions about Code enforcement and or violations (especially SRO situations) please contact the office of Jennifer Choi, City Attorney’s Office. Her team handles code violations regarding housing conditions, gang injunctions and the like.

They can refer you to DPW and City Inspector’s office as well as Department of Health.
Thank you very much to those of you who took time out of your busy day to attend the Captain’s Community meeting, as it is a monthly event, I encourage most of you to attend and get a chance to address your Captain of Southern station and let him know what your questions and suggestions are.
Also be aware that for this week, the station has issued 83 citations mostly for bicycles. Let’s encourage pedestrian safety by reminding each other that anything with wheels should be ridden not on the sidewalk but in the streets. Let’s also remind each other to not run red lights, wear a helmet and for pedestrians pay close attention to our surroundings.
