Looking for an RF relay for my Tmob GSM phone (yagi
on the roof inside Omni).

What device could do this?  What cost range.

Wouldn't high-gain antenna on the outside with similar on inside coupled with very low-loss between do it as a passive repeater?

Lowest cost solutions are on EBBAY all the time.  But website, www.digitalantenna.com has loads of information on various models.

$200-299 on Ebay.  $400 at DIgitalAntenna

GPP,

Not exactly the HOUSEHOLD solution I had in
mind, nearly buy a new house under a 3G tower
for those $s.

My first question has to be which of my 6 bands
(850, 900, 1800, 1900, now 1700, 2100) are used
by TMOB for US-SOCALIF 3G?

According to a quick search at HowardForums.com - the bands used by
t-mobile for 3g are 1700/2100. As far as in So Cal I don't know, but
someone on the site has probably asked the question or could answer it
for you. HTH

I've got to get an N (m) to RPSMA (m) connector to attach a flat panel antenna to a USB wireless dongle, anyone have a store in the El Segundo (LAX) area they favor ? Or an adapter cable, if it's not so long it wipes out the signal I'm looking for.
(don't suggest FRYs)

Check out Talley. Just a quick cross-town drive into Santa Fe Springs.
http://www.talleycom.com/moreinfo/contactus.shtml

If you can't find your cable there, pick up a universal adapter kit by
Unidapt. Worth its weight in gold for on-the-spot connections.

And if you can wait a day or two, price-wise, Frank's Wlanparts.com is
the dealio for the Universal kit:
