Finally, an interesting question was asked at last week's Membership Meeting to which no one knew the answer.  The question was, besides manually, how can one alphabetically sort bookmarks in Safari?  None of us had a good answer to that question.  I did a little research and found the following 2 articles about this topic: (Apparently we are not alone.)

Basically the articles state to drag the bookmarks folder to the desktop, do a sort using finder, and drag the bookmark folder back to Safari.  One item to note is you now have a duplicate bookmarks folder in Safari.  You have to delete the original folder (the folder with the unsorted bookmarks).  You also have a bookmarks folder on your desktop which also should be deleted.

WORD OF CAUTION FOR BEGINNERS - Before trying this on your own, be sure that you have a working, backup copy of your data.  If you do not feel comfortable following the articles guidance to sort the bookmarks on your own, be sure to ask someone who is more comfortable with Safari and the Mac for assistance.
