Subject: Hazardous Weather Expected for 11/16/06
Dear Weather Alert Subscriber:
The Treasure Coast area can expect
strong to severe storms late Wednesday and early Thursday
The National Weather Service reports that a squall line containing
numerous lightning storms will move rapidly across East central Florida
Thursday morning. Communities along the Treasure coast will likely see
storms affect our area between sunrise and mid-morning.
We will likely see the formation of strong to locally severe storms
possibly leading to the development of a few tornadoes.
This weather event will occur after midnight when most of us are
sleeping. The only method to receive notification of a severe weather
watch or warning is by way of having a NOAA Weather Radio with a tone
alert feature.
Make sure your weather radio is in good working order and properly set
to alert. If you do not own a NOAA Weather Radio, I strongly urge you
to consider purchasing one. Risk of injury and death increase during
severe weather outbreaks occurring during the pre-dawn hours.
There are only 15 days left in hurricane season!
This e-mail alert is being provided to you by your local emergency
management office. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you
