Hey Millcreek cyclists,

I know I retired at the end of the 2009 season and then for some reason, I squeaked in some racing for '11, well I am going to try and squeak in a few more in 2012. I just got my training started this week for '12, and I also talked to Sifu (my Kung Fu instructor) and he does not want me to drop out of my martial arts practice. He gave me his blessing to train on the bike and stay in touch with my class whenever I can so I will "keep out of trouble".

Now on that note, I want to find out which riders from our  team have ambitions to win some races in 2012; keeping in mind that 45+ nationals is on the A list for me.  I want to race the nationals with at least two other teammates so we can bring Millcreek home a podium in the Criterium and the Road race.

I am rambling a little bit here, but I want to get this bus rolling in a good direction and find out who is going to get onto the bus before I start looking for riders with similar ambitions. I do think it would be great to get a couple more riders to join Millcreek.  With less time in kung fu class, I will be able to do some club riding and hopefully together we can keep this bus rolling.

get onto the bus!

Andrew, I'm on board.  Since I'll be 45 and we can all race together in the same category I plan to focus on training this winter and bringing my fitness and abilities up a level!

This year started out with promise and ended with my job commitments sending me to the lowest level of fitness I have had in years.

I hope things will change but am not sure if they will. If they do, count me in.

Why wait to 2012! The 'cross season starts the first weekend in October ( www.utcx.net ).  For team points, the top 7 team riders each race score points. Sean and I did pretty good in points last year given there was only 2 of us. Cyclocross will get your motivated to December.

Dear Bus Driver,

Not really sure how to say this, so Im just going to say it... Or would you like me to sugar coat it....? Your Bus isnt going to go very far with out a Big Motor.. "I mean Huge!"
So with that being said .. I guess you need to find a motor worthy of the task at hand... And I know just where you can find that Big Motor....
And from what I hear this motor found its stride in Aug. even after crashing out of Manhattan Beach, and getting sick at Nationals. He finished 15th. at the World Qualifier in Colorados High Mts.
This motor is a lean 136lbs. and puts out Big power Watts, still needs a bit of work on the speed end. But more then makes up for it with its Fast climbing.. But a motor like this is going to coast you...
Commitment...! The Commitment to get on the Bus and to stay on it, no need to race every race but a few...
Also this motor trains in solitude, not by choice but only because everyone else in the free world gets up and out at the crack of dawn.. So if you could start training rides say around 10 am he would be more then happy to get on this Bus...

you guys are awesome,
have fun at cross, I will be wishing all the crossers have a great season.

10 am will work for a scheduled club ride and I am glad to see that we are in agreement that this bus is entered with commitment and plan to work on the motor to be finely tuned for those few specific races...
