Sorry I sent this to the group, it is meant for Kory. I didn't put
your email in my address book.

Knee pain- what you are describing falls under the category of
Bursitis of the knee from what I can gather. If the problem is the
medial (inside) portion of the knee the pes anserine bursa may get
inflamed just below the tibial plateau. Laterally (outside) the
iliotibial band may get inflamed on the distal femur. Clinically the
pain may at first be present only with activity though the pain is
more severe after one has been more sedentary for some time, according
to my orthopedic text. Ask your son if he has a momentary limp after
arising from a chair or some mild swelling over the involved area.
