Folks, following an audit the SHPF received a recommendation to limit the continuous period a Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer can serve on the SHPF Executive Committee. To comply with this recommendation we have updated the SHPF Constitution, which was last revised 23 years ago. This also satisfies another audit recommendation that the SHPF should periodically review and update the various SHPF policies and procedures.

We have taken the opportunity to make some other small changes to the constitution e.g. the proposed constitution now refers to SportScotland, the body which replaced the Scottish Sports Council.

A copy of the proposed 2020 Constitution, with changes highlighted in yellow has been attached to a post on the SHPF Facebook page and the existing 1997 Constitution can be accessed from the SHPF website. At the AGM at Ratho on Saturday we will propose that the changes in the proposed 2020 Constitution be adopted.
