 Trees, Glorious Trees

Saturday, Jan. 9 · 9am-noon

What is a tree? How are trees different from other plants? How can you tell the difference between two types of trees? In this workshop, parents and children will take a nature walk through the Garden to learn how to identify five local trees, then figure out how leaves help us identify the tree they came from. Participants will sort tree leaves into “families” based on their characteristics, then make leaf rubbings to take home.
