The St. George Village Botanical Garden invites the public to join David Hamada, Horticultural Director of the Garden, as he leads very special tours of the Garden by the light of the full moon on Sunday, October 4th at 7pm.
“Gardens by Moonlight is always a delight. Not only will guests be able to munch on wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres while listening to live music by Ay Ay Baroque Consort, but they will also have the chance to participate in fun contests to win night blooming plants that were grown by the Garden nursery,” says Education Coordinator, Melanie L. Feltmate.
Feltmate explains “The night really is magical. Rick Starr will be on hand with a telescope, interpreting the night sky while our knowledgeable Horticultural Director leads tours of the Garden. This is a rare chance for folks to see flowers that bloom and send out odors only at night.”
The event costs $25 for members and $40 for non-members (become a member at the event and save!)
The tours are limited in size to preserve the intimate nature of one of St. Croix’s most beautiful settings, the Garden by moonlight, so reservations are essential. Please call 692-2874 to secure your spot today, and don’t forget your flashlight!
