| December Meeting Saturday In West Haven 
Our Monthly Meeting will take place this Saturday, December 15 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at our West Haven Meeting Spot, located at 445 Front Avenue, West Haven on the 2nd Floor. This space is the business of one of our members, who is kind enough to offer it to us for our regular events. There’s plenty of parking in the fenced-in lot located at the building or in the Quigley Stadium lot located directly across the street. This month’s meeting agenda is: 1pm - What's In The Works For 2013
2pm - Documentary on the 2012 Mystery 3pm - Training Session - "Safety on Investigations" At 4:00pm we will be hosting a fun craft creating “Elf Houses” for the holidays. We’ll talk about where the legend of elves comes from, and how they became associated with creating toys for Christmas. Anyone who wants can take one of our pre-constructed “elf houses” and decorate it with craft items! It’s fun, and open to all ages. The craft is $5.00 per person. Please RSVP by email at sg...@sgra.org if you plan to join us for the craft so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone. This program is presented free of charge and is open to the public! | Message Boards Reopen On Website After we had taken down our Discuss @ SGRA Message Boards back in October when things started to get really busy for us with Fall events, we had many people asking us when they’d be back up and running. Well, we’re very happy to announce that the wait is over, the our Message Boards are reopen on the SGRA website! You can access the boards by going to http://www.sgra.org/discuss/ or by clicking on the Discuss @ SGRA Message Board link in the main menu on the website. The boards provide a place for open discussions, questions, and comments related to every kind of subject covered by SGRA, from Supernatural Sciences to Reviews of books, shows, and films. Anyone is welcome to participate in the boards as well, and to do-so you only need to register quickly then begin posting. Not sure what you want to start off with? That’s OK, there are many conversations and postings already on the boards, so you can jump in on any one of them and add your thoughts, or you can start your own. The SGRA Staff moderate the boards, so posting questions on there will also get you answers by our expert staff. We can also help provide links to resources about particular subjects, questions, and more as well! So why not drop by and join in the conversation! | Wednesday Coffee Talk & Friday Film 
This week’s Coffee Talk on Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm in continues our “Countdown to Doomsday” as we explore Nightmare Scenarios. We’ll present the top 5 leading threats that could spell disaster to life as we know it on planet earth today. If there’s an end coming, will it be one of these theories, or will it be something entirely unexpected? After you hear the possibilities, you’ll vote on which ones you think are most possible – and most scary! Can’t make it to the Coffee Talk? You can take part in an online poll and special ParaChat on this subject next Sunday from 8pm – 10pm. Our Friday Film this week will be 1998’s “Armageddon,” an action-packed end of the world film an all-star cast led by Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Ben Affleck, and Liv Tyler. Although it’s a Hollywood movie, it brings up some good Doomsday points… Are we prepared for a situation like this? Could we really do anything to stop it? Would we even see it coming? Coffee Talk takes place Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm, and Movie Night takes place Friday from 7pm – 9pm. Both are open to everyone, snacks and drinks served, $5.00 suggested donation. | New Research Section Coming Soon We’re getting started with the full creation of a brand-new Research Section to our website, premiering shortly after the New Year. This new ParaWiki section of our site will feature summaries of case files and investigations conducted by our Field Team, resources on various subjects, links to discussions on topics ranging from paranormal phenomena, to government investigations, to ancient mysteries. The pages will build up over time, as more and more details are posted. Our overall goal will be to provide a section of our page that is more informational-based, rather than current news like our homepage. In the past, our website has had similar sections to this new one, but it has been difficult to bring it all together. The ParaWiki section will be searchable, so it will allow quick access to popular content, specific subjects, and more. It will also allow us to tie-together multiple subjects for easy access as well between topics, such as UFOs and Government Projects, etc. Another addition to the ParaWiki section will be contributed content from other investigators and trusted resources of SGRA. Cross-posting articles, content, documents, and more will allow us for greater coverage of specific areas, and so our viewers will have access to much more than ever before. More details will be posted soon! |
