This Friday we’re excited to be kicking off our “Secrets of New Haven – Ghost Edition Tours” again with a special tour in conjunction with the New Haven Museum. These tours are a version of our popular walking tours through downtown New Haven, with a ghostly twist. Rather than focusing on general secrets of the city, we delve into the more haunted past of New Haven, from the buried remains beneath the green to the apparitions encountered at Grove Street Cemetery.
While Friday’s tour is exclusive for the New Haven Museum, there will be other dates for SGRA and public tours coming up this month. The tours take place on some Saturdays and Sundays, and once dates are set they will be posted to our website and Newslink Email list, as well as the Facebook page. Pre-registration is required, as we keep tour groups to a maximum of 10 people, and since they fill up FAST, so be sure to keep an eye out for the postings. This year we are also working on creating a few of our video segments for our new “webisode” section of our website that will feature insight and behind-the-scenes footage of the Secrets of New Haven tours. We’re looking forward to another fun fall season of creepy stories, lantern-led tours, and lots of secrets! Awakenings Psychic & Craft Fair Saturday in Southbury This Saturday, October 6, from 10am – 6pm at the Southbury Crown Plaza Hotel the SGRA Team will be taking part in the “Awakenings Psychic and Craft Fair,” a wonderful event that will feature guests, vendors, and information on a wide range of metaphysical practices. Among psychic readers, metaphysical vendors, energy practitioners, and others, will be a special information table hosted by our organization to answer any of your paranormal questions, as well as provide a look at exactly what it is a paranormal research organization like ours does. Whether you’ve attended a fair like this before, or this would be your first time, you’re sure to find a lo of useful information here. And the best part is that admission is completely FREE! The fair is organized by Barbara DeLong, a medium and spiritual practitioner who is known world-wide, Margaret Taylor, an energy practitioner with years of experience, and Patrick Cooke, an author and expert on mysteries from UFOs and ET contact, to biblical stories and modern-day unexplained events. ParaChat Sunday Evening – UFOs & Police! Join us this Sunday evening from 8pm – 10pm on our ParaTalk Chat as we discuss a new upcoming webisode filming now for SGRA on UFOs & Police. It may surprise you to know that there have, in fact, been numerous documented UFO sightings by police officers, many which included transcripts and recordings of communications between officers and departments relaying what they were seeing.
Included in the segment we are filming will be interviews with two former police officers from right here in Connecticut who encountered strange and unexplained events while on duty. Now that they are retired, they are more willing to discuss what they experienced while “on the job,” including how there were some aspects that tried to make sure their reports did not become public knowledge! Be sure to visit our website Sunday evening and click on the ParaChat link to join in the discussion. This promises to be a very interesting talk! |
