| Happening Now – Shelton UFO Under Investigation On Sunday, November 4, we received three separate witness reports from Shelton, Connecticut, all in the vicinity of Exit 13 off Route 8. The descriptions were similar, reporting what appeared to be a low-and-slow flying, black triangular object, featuring dim red and white lights. The object was only observed for approximately 3 minutes by witnesses, and there were no photographs taken. As our standard practice, when we receive more than one sighting report we begin a closer examination of the incident. Unfortunately in this case one of the reports was submitted anonymously via our “Report It” section of our website, so we have been unable to reach that individual for follow-up questions. On Monday, November 5th, we did reach out through an email to the Shelton Patch website to inquire whether or not their editors may have heard of any similar reports. We have not received a reply yet but will keep everyone updated via our social media accounts and website. As a result, we wanted to make quick mention of how you can keep up with SGRA Weather Alerts that may include information on the cancellation or postponment of events. We do our best to give as much advance warning of weather issues as possible, and if we do end up having to cancel any events we try to make those calls early. The best way to be informed of weather issues is to pay attention to our emails and posts. We will ALWAYS send a notice to our Newslink Email List, as well as post notes on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. However, if you do not seen a notice and the weather seems questionable, you can call our office at (203) 987 – SGRA. If no one is available to take your call at that number, we will make sure to update the recorded message with the latest information. And, finally, if you still are not finding the information you need or have any other questions, you can contact SGRA Director Jon Nowinski directly at (203) 247 – 0310. | November Meeting On Saturday Our formal monthly meeting is scheduled on November 10th at 2:00pm (1:00pm for Members Only) and will take place a 445 Front Avenue in West Haven (Click For A Map). During this meeting we will discuss upcoming special events, current research being conducted by our Field Team, and what’s in the works here at SGRA. As part of these meetings we also feature a “training session” that is open to everyone. During these sessions we provide an overview of a topic, method, or items of our equipment. Following this we have an open discussion. RSVP is requested for meetings so that we have a general idea of how many people to expect and prepare handouts for. This month we are also hosting a special one of our “Meet & Greet Meetings” which will take place at the Southbury Starbucks located at 775 Main St (click for a map). This meeting is also open to anyone interested, and we cover much of the same features as our main meeting, only due to space are not able to include the training session. | SGRA Returns To Local Psychic Fairs Have you ever wondered what a psychic fair is like? Well, for several years we have participated in the Programs for Human Development’s Connecticut Pyschic Fairs which take place all across the state on almost every weekend. The fairs are an opportunity for people to get a reading done by psychics who are trusted and tested by the PHD, and many of them offer a wide range of different types of readings. Our organization hosts an information and fundraising table at some of the fairs as a resource for those attending. Whehter your question is about paranormal phenomena, psychic abilties, or other aspects of the unexplained, we’re always glad to help guide you in the right direction. We also offer excellent books on a wide range of unexplained phenomena that are available for discounted purchase, and can recommended ones that cover specific topics you are interested in. We mostly participate in fairs taking place on Sundays, and coming up this month we will be at the Greenwhich Hyatt Hotel on Sunday, November 11 and then the following Sunday, November 18, at the Danbury Maron Hotel. Because of the holidays, there is only one CT Psychic Fair scheduled in December, and it will take place Sunday, December 2nd at the Fairfield Inn in Fairfield.
