SF YIMBY 101 at our next meeting - 2/12 Join SF YIMBY for our February 2025 meeting!   This month, at the request of many folks, we're doing something we have not done in quite a long time in person, a YIMBY 101. This is a great opportunity to learn about the history of movement, where we are now, and where we are going!   If you are a newbie, it's the perfect time to jump in! If you've been around a bit, it's a great time to learn something you may not have known about our history. Come with questions! Earlier this month, a neighborhood group submitted a proposal to designate North Beach as a historic district in a dishonest effort to block badly needed housing.    The good news is that this effort has stalled.    You can still sign the petition to let officials know that historical preservation should NOT be weaponized by anti-housing NIMBYs! Let's come up with a more thoughtful approach that preserves our history without jeopardizing new homes or preventing parking lots and burned out buildings from being turned into something better!
