The Saturday, August 12, 2023 Science Fiction Association of Bergen County General Meeting will be held through Zoom Video Conference at 7:30 PM. Our speaker is science fictin writer Connie Willis. We are holding our summer meetings online to avoid the hot weather.
Connie Willis, Science Fiction Author:
Connie Willis is the author of over a dozen solo (she has also collaborated) novels and a plethora of shorter works. She has won the Hugo and the Nebula Awards for Best Novel, Best Novella, Best Novelette, and Best Short Story. Her range encompasses grim novels like THE DOOMSDAY BOOK and screwball comedies like Blued Moon. Ms Willis has won more Hugo Awards than any other writer.

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:
Meetings of the Association are normally held on the second Saturday of the month and feature talks, slide shows, and other presentations by experts in science fiction, fantasy, and related fields. The Association sponsors online Google and FaceBook discussion groups and a number of in-person and online activities devoted to various aspects of science fiction and similar matters, including events focused on books, movies, television, science, and similar areas of interest. We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups, and other activities pertaining to science fiction and kindred genres.
