The Saturday, December 10, 2022 Science Fiction Association of Bergen County will be at the Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church, 318 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, Bergen County, New Jersey 07458 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM) We will hold a pot-luck Christmas Cafe at 7:00 PM before the start of the meeting.. Film score composer Matt Cannon will speak and answer questions.
Pre-Meeting Activity: Christmas Cafe - Bring Dessert!:
Prior to covid, our December meeting featured a pot-luck dinner and did not feature a speaker. Rather than running a logistically-challenging dinner, we will again hold a 7:00 PM pot-luck Christmas Cafe as we did last year. The club will furnish coffee, tea, and milk. Desserts are provided by those attending.
Matt Cannon, Indie Film Score Composer:
Matt Cannon is best known as a composer of movie scores for independent genre and non-genre films including BEYOND DARK DAYS, FRIGHTVISION, CLOWNADO, and FINAL CALLER. He has also been a screenwriter, a producer, and a director.

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:
Meetings of the Association are normally held on the second Saturday of the month and feature talks, slide shows, and other presentations by experts in science fiction, fantasy, and related fields. The Association sponsors online Google and FaceBook discussion groups and a number of in-person and online activities devoted to various aspects of science fiction and similar matters, including events focused on books, movies, television, science, and similar areas of interest. We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups, and other activities pertaining to science fiction and kindred genres.
