The Saturday, October 8, 2022 meeting of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County will be held at Barnes & Noble in Paramus, New Jersey at 7:30 PM. Our speaker is science thriller author Mark Alpert.

Early arrivals are welcome to browse the store, or they may join our 6:30 PM Ice Nine Discussion of the Coolest News & Happenings in the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, and related areas. Come talk about books, movies, television, comic books, and so on, whether old, new, famous, or obscure.
Mark Alpert, Science Thriller Author / Science Editor:
Mark Alpert is the author of eight science thriller and three Young Adult science fiction novels. He is also a science editor for SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN. His most recent works are the eco-terrorist science thriller, THE DOOMSDAY SHOW, the hard-to-categoriz SAINT JOAN OF NEW YORK, and the dystopic fascist America book, THE COMING STORM.

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:
Meetings of the Association are normally held on the second Saturday of the month and feature talks, slide shows, and other presentations by experts in science fiction, fantasy, and related fields. The Association sponsors online Google and FaceBook discussion groups and a number of in-person and online activities devoted to various aspects of science fiction and similar matters, including events focused on books, movies, television, science, and similar areas of interest. We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups, and other activities pertaining to science fiction and kindred genres.
