Hello, everyone.  While Barnes & Noble in Paramus, the original planned venue for our summer meetings, has reopened, the store is not hosting any group events.  Therefore, the Saturday, July 11, 2020 meeting of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County  will be conducted as a video conference through the Zoom Platform.  We will stick with our summer schedule start time of 7:30 PM.

Anyone with internet access can participate.  You must register ahead of time to receive an invitation to the session.  Science Fiction writer Angus McIntyre will speak and answer questions.  There is an optional post-meeting chat session.

Angus McIntyre, Science Fiction Author:

Angus McIntyre is the author of the short science fiction novel, THE WARRIOR WITHIN, published by Tor.com.  His short fiction has appeared in a number of original anthologies and magazines and ranges from space opera, to cosmic horror, steampunk, and dystopian fiction.  He has lived in the United Kingdom, France, Italy,and elsewhere.  He has a background in artificial intelligence, and computational and evolutionary linguistics.

Post Meeting Event:  Virtual Diner Run:

Miss hanging out after the meeting, sipping coffee, and chatting with folks?  We have scheduled a separate 9:35 PM Virtual Diner Run after the main event.  Heat up a cup of coffee, a slice of pizza, and join us for an unstructured chat via a separate zoom conference.

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:

Meetings of the Association are normally held on the second Saturday of the month and feature talks, slide shows, and other presentations by experts in science fiction, fantasy, and related fields.  The Association sponsors online Google and FaceBook discussion groups and a number of in-person and online  activities devoted to various aspects of science fiction and similar matters, including events focused on books, movies, television, horror, and similar areas of interest.  We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups, and other activities pertaining to science fiction and kindred genres.  We invite you to contact us through our website:
