You are invited to join us at the monthly meeting of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County General Meeting on Saturday, September 9, 2023. We'll be live, in-the-flesh at the Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church, 318 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, Bergen County, New Jersey 07458 at 8:00 PM. Science fiction writer Sarena Straus will speak and answer questions.
Pre-Meeting Event:
Early arrivals are welcome to help themselves to free books and to join our Ice Nine Coolest News discussion at 6:30 PM to share the latest news and happenings in genre books, comics, movies, and television.
Sarena Straus, Science Fiction Writer:
Sarena Straus is an attorney who worked for five years for the Bronx District Attorney prosecuting sex crimes and child abuse cases. She has written a nonfiction crime book about here experiences. ReINCEPTION, her first science fiction novel, is set 100 years from now and deals with the intersection of crime, punishment, and technology.

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:
Meetings of the Association are normally held on the second Saturday of the month and feature talks, slide shows, and other presentations by experts in science fiction, fantasy, and related fields. The Association sponsors online Google and FaceBook discussion groups and a number of in-person and online activities devoted to various aspects of science fiction and similar matters, including events focused on books, movies, television, science, and similar areas of interest. We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups, and other activities pertaining to science fiction and kindred genres.
