dear friends, fam, and community members,
making an end of year request to all of you out there who have been collaborators | co-conspirators and | or supporters | witnesses to the work over the years. for my upcoming Diamante workshop this Saturday I am asking if you would kindly reach out to individual(s) you think would LOVE to participate. of course, YOU are warmly invited....but I also am expanding the reach of Diamante. space is limited so no "groups", but rather, key individuals who you know aspire to engage in this kind of deeper, slower, praxis that occurs within vibrant, liminal space. Diamante helps us practice abiding in ambiguity while we navigate the ups and downs of chaotic, complex, and disheartening urban life.
I am especially interested in inviting people of color and our allies interested in building relationships cross-culturally in order to resist and to organize at the margins of hegemonic structures.
Diamante seems well suited to:
cultural workers | activists
educators interested in meditation+the arts+social issues
deep thinkers+rabble rousers
improvisation practitioners (for real)
poets wanting to move
movers wanting to say
body/minds wanting more contemplation and embodiment practices
students, parents, teachers tired of messed up "curriculum"
beautiful dreamers
inchoate visionaries

to close the conventional calendar year, in the midst of deep suffering, i will be leading a winter gathering of the practice of Diamante: sonic + movement improvisation, contemplative embodiment, sitting + walking meditation, and reflection on these troubled times.
the praxis of Diamante is a kind of ceremony that spans the profoundly subtle to the highly energetic while revealing spontaneous poetic crystallizations that arise and dissolve.
when: saturday afternoon 30 diciembre from 1 to 3:30 pm.
where: in the mission district, space is limited. kindly RSVP for location and details.
with: soulful live music, large swaths of improvisation, and beautiful jazz renditions - accentuated by silence and awakened sense perceptions.
why: from gentle stillness to luscious movement -- Diamante is an embodied + imaginative way to be with our broken hearted tenderness, yielding myriad expressions and supporting our work in the world.
